Luca
Northford, CT

Luca is our incredible 7 year old son. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in March of 2020, at 18 months old. The trauma he and our family have experienced the last 6 years is horrific. Many people have no idea what Luca has been through. You wouldn’t expect a child as sweet as him to endure such hell—and yet he continues to smile. Luca’s name means “bringer of light” and he is exactly that. He shines brighter than the darkness of pediatric brain cancer. He has taught us a different kind of strength and his fight reminds us everyday what truly matters. Life is incredibly terrifying when you have a child living with brain cancer. The sadness, fear, heartbreak and anger is crippling at times but the love is unmatched. We cherish every minute of his silliness, smile, laughter and love.
