Our Story

This event started during Brock Fleming’s battle with DIPG at 7 years old. Brock was a super adorable active 7-year-old. He loved swimming, soccer, and building Legos. He also loved being a brother to his older sister, Jenna.

Since then, the Fun Run has become so much more helping to create awareness of childhood cancer, unite cancer families, and honor kid’s battling and their siblings who have stood strongly beside them!

Please join us honoring Brock Fleming, Katelyn Chatron, Alexis Reinders, Parker Hamilton, and all of our Ambassadors to raise money to find a cure and create awareness of this deadly disease. Our kids deserve better!

Our Annual Team Brock 5K & Family Festival is back!

Help support Team Brock in finding the Homerun Cure™ by funding pediatric cancer research and trials. The Team Brock Halloween 5K & Family Festival is on Saturday, October 19, 2024 and for everyone, from serious runners, to the entire family, and even for those that want to sleep in! We are adding a timed component, if you want to test your limits!

Come dressed in your best Halloween costume and be entered our costume contest. Go trick-or-treating, thanks to our generous sponsors. Make sure to get a picture with your favorite Princesses! Enjoy Bounce Obstacle Course, Rock Wall Climbing, Petting Zoo, Face Painting, and Helicopter Candy Drop following the run! There will also be a dunk tank where you can dunk your coach at 2 throws for $5 or 5 throws for $10!

Can’t make it? No problem! Sign up as a Batman “Virtual” Runner, and we will mail you a shirt!

Barry's back walking 100 miles!

What Would You do to Cure Cancer? Barry's Back! In 2022, Barry exercised at Orangetheory Fitness for 24 hours. This time he will be walking a 25 mile route finishing at our Fun Run! Barry explains, "I can actually still remember when I first heard about Brock Fleming and his battle with cancer. My thoughts were how cruel is this disease that it doesn’t discriminate and leave children alone who have some much life ahead of them. Kids who go from worrying about playing with friends and siblings to battling something that crushes most adults. Not to mention what it does to their parents, family and friends.

If I have to put my 51-year-old body to the test to help bring awareness and raise funding for more research, then so be it. It is not about me, but more what can we ALL do to try and bring an end to this terrible disease. I could not think of a better more deserving person than you, Melissa, and Team Brock. You could have decided to be upset and mad at life, but instead you are an inspiration and the perfect example of taking a major negative in life and trying to make a change."

FAQ's

What does my registration include?
Shirt, Team Brock Bag, Bouncy houses, Face Painting, Spooky Trail, Helicopter

How do I put a team together?
“Create your team” when registering. Send a flyer provided by Team Brock to your family and friends asking them to join your team.

Do I have to form a team?
No. Join Team Brock team. If you form your own team, you can win Team Captain prizes and top prizes.

What does course look like?
Due to construction in Old Settlers Park, we have moved the event to across the lake. We will have signs directing runners. There is a timed component for serious runners. Families may choose to only make one lap around the lake.

May I run with a stroller?
Yes. However, we ask that walkers and joggers allow the competitive runners to start first.

May I run with my dog?
Yes. However, we ask that dogs, joggers, and walkers to allow the competitive runners to start first.

Where do I pick up my race packet?
You have two options. Pre packet pick up is on Wednesday, October 16^th at Rock Business Solutions in Round Rock from 5pm to 7pm. You can also pick up day of race on Saturday, October 19^th from 6:30am-7:30am.

What time does race start?
Celebration of Cancer Warriors and siblings start at 7:45am. Run starts at 8:05am.

How do I become a volunteer?
Contact Gail for shift times at [email protected]. We need help at pre packet pick up on October 16^th from 4:30pm-7pm. Also, we need help on October 14^th from 5:30am to 10am with set up, directing parking, and raffles.
